Pedodontics:

It is dentistry for children from birth to childhood. Pedodontist can understand nature of children’s teeth which are called primary teeth, and also the permanent teeth of children and adolescents. It comprises of :

1. Sealant – a clear or tinted plastic protective coating that pained onto the chewing surfaces of molar and premolar,
the area where most cavities form.
2. Fluoride treatment to help teeth build resistance to decay
3. Caries risk assessment
4. Preventive resin restoration
5. Oral hygiene instruction
